Chapter three.

Oh what a day. I had then reached a point where I was achieving my dreams fast. I had seen all of my aspirations coming to life. I was seated in the dressing room as the makeup artist was working on my face to make sure that I looked decent enough for my fans. The room was filled with all these staff members moving back and forth. I definitely did not know all of their names. I mean, it was a TV show set and I was the main host of the show itself.

 

“All done.” Maria, the makeup artist said.

 

“Thanks.” I replied as she stood and left me there to warm up for the show.

 

The mirror was lit all around showing me how I looked exactly. I was still dashingly handsome if I could say so myself. It was living proof because judging by the women in my dms at the time, I knew. I took the note book that was on the table there and confirmed my lines for that specific show. It was going to be a special show celebrating the people’s choice award we just won for the show.

 

“Hey, Charlie, you’ll be on in ten. You should probably go on set now.” Said my director who was standing at the door.

 

“Okay Andy. I’ll be there.” I replied.

My phone received a message. I opened it and it was a certain girl named Anna. I frankly didn’t even remember her, it was only because I saved her number. She said.

 

/Hi, I just wanted to tell you that I really miss you and I enjoyed every second of our encounter last time. I want to see you again. Call me/

 

I looked at it and smiled and then went on set.

 

Ten minutes later…

 

“Well, hello everyone,” I started with an emphatic tone, making sure that I was as welcoming as I could,” welcome to another great episode of did they cheat? I am happy to see you here for some spicy and entertaining content that will shock you, make you laugh and also make you go crazy. I am you’re host as always Charlie Brown and before we got to all the good stuff, I would like to thank all of you so much for supporting us. We have just won another award for the best TV show on the people’s choice for the second year in a row. What a run it has been. I didn’t have a chance to be there and I apologize for that and s I would like to give a small speech. I would like to thank God for all this blessings as always. I would also like to thank my beautiful wife who is at home, Samantha, I love you baby, we’ll celebrate tonight. And to all of the crew who make this show possible especially my director and friend Andy back there. I always thank you for being with me since day one. Anyway, I’m about to cry now so I’ll stop. On to today’s episode. We have a fire new episode about Veronica and Ken. Now Veronica has been seeing Kevin for three years now and is wondering if she is wasting her time with him because he is it willing to take then next step. Now the problem is she has been seeing some symptoms of an STD and she thinks he gave it to her. She also has seen him flirting with other girls and is half sure that he is cheating and so she just wants proof and the truth. Confusing, right? So we linked up with her to see what exactly she was feeling and to find out, IS HE CHEATING? See you after the story.”

 

“And the story is running Charlie you can take a break now.” Andy said in my ear.

 

I got of set to chair near there waiting for the episode to end because it was going to take about 25 minutes to air and it would include some breaks. I took out my phone again and found some messages form the girl from earlier. She sent me some really tempting photos of herself in her bed begging me to come over. She was now half way to convincing me.

 

My phone rang as I was texting her to reply. “Hello.” Samantha, my wife greeted. “Hello.” I replied in a low tone.

“So congratulations on the award. I could have told you in person if you still came home to me.” She complained.

“I told you I have work. We shoot every time these days. This is work.” I excused myself knowing full well I was lying.

 

“I Know, I know. Never mind. Will you come home today or you have more work?” she asked.

 

Before I responded my phone vibrated showing more messages. It was explicit photos, the girl had now fully convinced me to go to her.

 

“Are you still there Charlie?” Samantha asked.

 

“Yeah, I am. Uh, actually I have some work I need to attend to. I want to work on some new ideas for the show. I really need to get this proposal done. It is guaranteed to let me work less time and allow me to come home to you for longer times.” I continued to lie. This one was guaranteed to work.

 

“Okay then. I’ll see you tomorrow then. I miss you.” She said in a slow sexy tone. “Okay. Goodnight.” I replied coldly.

I didn’t have any more interest in my wife anymore. I kept her with me because, it was a more desirable image to the public.

 

“The episode is half way.” Andy said.

 

“Can I just prerecord the ending and then leave because I need to go.” I asked. “Why not? You need to celebrate. Go ahead.” Andy said.

I was glad he accepted because I was planning to go early because I was going to spend the whole night awake celebrating if you know what I mean. I recorded the last scene and then got out and went into my blue Mercedes. I drove off to the address that the girl left me to meet her in the hotel.

 

I made sure to park a few blocks away so that no one could know I was around. She registered a different name for me so that I could get in unnoticed. They didn’t have an issue letting me in. It’s as if they knew it was the place of infidelity.

 

I got to the room and knocked. She opened the door looking all sexy. “I knew you would come.” She said.

I kissed her deeply and we got into the room.
